The quick drying process is arguably the most important part of cleaning carpets. Putting furniture back on wet carpet or not allowing things to dry properly can lead to several different issues.

For starters, it is the perfect environment for mold to grow. Dangers types of mold, like Stachybotrys, thrive in environments like wet carpet. These molds can produce mycotoxins that over a period of time can cause allergies, infections, rashes, coughs, and exacerbates other chronic health issues. This can be especially dangerous for children and babies, who have developing or weakened immune and respiratory systems. Breathing in these contaminants only gets worse over time. In addition to health risks, wet carpet can create electrical issues and fires too. Wet carpet increases the risk of shock due to the close proximity to outlets. The last thing you want is to start an electrical fire in your home because of wet carpet. This doesn’t happen often, but if you have wet carpet you need to take care of it as soon as possible.

That’s why we take extra vacuum stokes to remove as much excess moisture as possible and we set up specially designed fans (air movers) as we clean in order to increase airflow and reduce the dry time.
